'US money power in private hands' Posted: 09 Oct 2011 02:30 AM PDT A number of wealthy individuals and organizations are said to be financing some protest groups with the goal of infiltrating and containing the movement. |
'Corruption institutionalized in US' Posted: 09 Oct 2011 02:09 AM PDT An analyst says the US political structure and police are unable to stop the national popular uprising due to the massive shift in the tide of public opinion. |
'US will stop funding Israeli crimes' Posted: 09 Oct 2011 02:04 AM PDT A prominent political lawyer says that the US cannot continue to supply arms or economic aid to Israel who is under international pressure for its atrocities against humanity. |
Syria, veto & balance of powers change Posted: 09 Oct 2011 12:30 AM PDT Application of veto at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) on sanctions resolution against Syria is a very important development in the situation governing the Middle East. The issue bears an international aspect, not being simply limited in its implications to Syria, support for Bashar al-Assad, and developments in the Arab and Middle Eastern region. |
Jewish Money Power Dictates: No Immigration/Social Issues At Next GOP Debate. Posted: 08 Oct 2011 10:35 PM PDT Next Tuesday's Republican Presidential Debate, jointly sponsored by Bloomberg News and The Washington Post, will exclude all issues except the economy, according to a Bloomberg press release. |
All About Greed: 'Corporations + Government = Fascism' Posted: 08 Oct 2011 08:29 PM PDT 'Occupy Wall Street' movement is more than just a citizen standoff against the big banks. Some of the Wall Street campaigners accuse news outlets there of peddling a view of the US that bears no resemblance to the reality lived by millions of Americans... |
Posted: 08 Oct 2011 06:23 PM PDT Join Our own Howard Nema with We Are Change CT live worldwide at NFORMDRADIO A truth talk call in radio show, "Where news the controlled mainstream media ignores is the top story and YOUR voice is heard! |
Joe Biden irks Jewish Lobby over Pollard Posted: 08 Oct 2011 06:11 PM PDT Last week speeking to leaders of several Jewish organizations in Florida, Biden told them that Barack Obama was considering clemency for the convicted Jewish spy Jonathan Pollard but he told the President: "Over my dead body are we going to let him out before his time. If up to me, he would stay in jail for life". It seems Joe Biden made up the story because Obama wouldn't give a damn what Biden thinks. Obama is more concerned about Jewish money and their support to win the second term. Under US Constitution, a President has the power to pardon any numbers of criminals. |
Assange: Superpower takeover of Libya a lesson to world Posted: 08 Oct 2011 04:11 PM PDT Wikileaks founder Julian Assange was among much anticipated speakers at mass protest in London calling for end to war in Afghanistan and foreign troops pullout. RT managed to talk to him about the military interventions and the Libyan conflict in particular. |

'Anarchy' in America: Occupy Wall Street spreads nationwide Posted: 08 Oct 2011 02:38 PM PDT There's a heavy police presence on patrol in New York - as the 'Occupy Wall Street' movement against bank greed enters its fourth week, and gets a deeper foothold across the US The sentiment has already spread to the country's other major cities including Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles and Washington. New York's mayor has strongly-criticised the swelling unrest against the power of Wall Street, saying that if the banks fail more people will lose their jobs. The protests have already cost the city about two million dollars. And, while most brush off the demonstrators as anarchists, RT's Anastasia Churkina has discovered it's a far more organized set up. |
Wall Street protesters to RT: We can take down US fat cats! Posted: 08 Oct 2011 02:36 PM PDT As the Occupy Wall Street movement grows in America, campaigners are getting the idea that they are battling the wealthy minority of their own population that has adjusted the country's legislation to their own benefit, neglecting the sum of things. RT's Lori Harfenist found out on the streets of New York that the "Occupy Wall Street" protests have been inspired by "the failure of the system to respond to higher calling for our country." |
Torah Jews-Probably The Only Jewish Ethical Collective Posted: 08 Oct 2011 02:03 PM PDT Gilad Atzmon: As far as I am concerned Torah Jews are the only peaceful Jewish collective that is also coherent, ethical and authentic. They are also totally modest. I have never heard any of these Rabbis telling Palestinians or solidarity activists how to run the Palestinian state or how manage to solidarity movement. |
Ron Paul Wins 2011 Values Voter Summit Straw Poll Posted: 08 Oct 2011 01:30 PM PDT Ron Paul has won another straw poll, indicating he is the choice for many if not most voting Republicans. Demonstrating that the influence of establishment Republicans remains strong in the party, Herman Cain came in a distant second. |
Romney Picks Notorious Neocon as Lead Foreign Policy Adviser Posted: 08 Oct 2011 01:11 PM PDT GOP front-runner Mitt Romney – who has promised us another century of mass murder and crimes against humanity – has picked a neocon as his new foreign policy adviser. |
US, UK will never halt Israeli Violations Posted: 08 Oct 2011 12:31 PM PDT A prominent political analyst says the United States and Britain have never seriously demanded the Israeli regime to stop its illegal expansion of settlement units in the occupied Palestinian territories. |
Posted: 08 Oct 2011 12:25 PM PDT It is the right of the people of Yemen to celebrate twice for this historic award: first, because it signals global recognition of the legitimacy of their revolution and the peaceful struggle to affect political and social change. Second, because it puts their country on the media and political map for positive reasons after decades of being noted for negative issues. |
Art in the Third Reich: 1933–1945 (Part 1) Posted: 08 Oct 2011 11:52 AM PDT When writing about or discussing the plastic and figurative arts in Germany during the period from 1933 to 1945, one must inevitably mention the art that highlighted the epoch of National Socialism. During that short and troubled period of time, art was also a reflection of modern European history, and, therefore, it must be examined, or, for that matter, conceptualized, within the larger geopolitical framework of Europe as a whole. |
Enduring War: Afghan marathon runs into second decade Posted: 08 Oct 2011 11:16 AM PDT The Afghan war is now into its second decade. But its original aims - to crush al-Qaeda and bring the Taliban to its knees - are no closer to completion amid an escalating nationwide insurgency. This year's already shaping up to be the deadliest in the conflict, not only for coalition troops, but for Afghan civilians as well, as Jason Motlagh reports from Afghanistan. |
Welcome to the #OWS 99% Movement "We Will NOT Be Co-Opted" Posted: 08 Oct 2011 11:14 AM PDT By David DeGraw, AmpedStatus.com |
Keiser Report: Price Propaganda (E194) Posted: 08 Oct 2011 11:06 AM PDT This week Max Keiser and co-host, Stacy Herbert, talk about pitchforks trading up, the mother of all short squeezes and the anonymous hedge fund. In the second half of the show, Max Keiser interviews Professor Steve Keen, author of Debunking Economics 2, about #occupywallstreet, debt bubbles and Australian housing. KR on FB: www.facebook.com |
'Enough is Enough': Anti-war protest calls for Afghan pullout Posted: 08 Oct 2011 10:49 AM PDT London is a place of gravity for peace activists who are streaming to Trafalgar Square to protest the war in Afghanistan. Hundreds of Britons are willing to show that a "speedy withdrawal" of the UK troops is what they need from the government. |
Have protests succeeded in Myanmar? Posted: 08 Oct 2011 10:46 AM PDT The volley of scepticism fired at the new government of Myanmar since it came to power in March has been well-founded: aside from the fact that the key cabinet positions are overwhelmingly held by pro-military men, much of the so-called reform underway in the south-east Asian country formerly known as Burma has, to date, been little more than rhetorical. The more hardline faction of the pro-democracy movement has judged much of "new" state policy as little more than window-dressing - reforms to the media, for example, despite continued jailing of journalists; olive branches to ethnic minorities while military offensives intended to assimilate or wipe them out are ratcheted up. The list continues. |
US silent on rights abuse in Bahrain Posted: 08 Oct 2011 10:43 AM PDT A political analyst accuses the US of practicing hypocrisy in dealing with countries like Bahrain, saying that one must "separate US political rhetoric from its action." |
Israeli Rightists Threaten Arab Population Posted: 08 Oct 2011 09:55 AM PDT |
Posted: 08 Oct 2011 09:30 AM PDT "We didn't know enough and we still don't know enough," McChrystal said. "Most of us, me included, had a very superficial understanding of the situation and history, and we had a frighteningly simplistic view of recent history, the last 50 years." |
US killing Afghan civilians, not militants Posted: 08 Oct 2011 09:17 AM PDT US led forces have faced a growing militancy in Afghanistan as the war is dragging on in the warn-torn country. |
What chance a general strike in Manhattan? Posted: 08 Oct 2011 09:14 AM PDT Locker, who I interviewed in a previous Al Jazeera column dealing with the role of organised labour in future protests, adds that demonstrators "could organise local assemblies to discuss organisation, demands and ongoing activities to build our power (more occupations)," during a general strike. "In the afternoon we could have a super march toward Wall Street from all over the city," he says. |
Israel and Those "Real Democratic Rights" Posted: 08 Oct 2011 09:04 AM PDT In his speech to Congress on 24 May 2011 Prime Minister Netanyahu boasted that "Of the 300 million Arabs in the Middle East and North Africa, only Israel's Arab citizens enjoy real democratic rights." This is, of course, a variation on the oft cited claim that Israel is "the only democracy in the Middle East." Leaving aside places like Lebanon and now potentially Tunisia and Egypt, one can ask just how "real" are these democratic rights the Prime Minister claims for Israel's Arabs? Here is some recent evidence that speaks to this question. |
Posted: 08 Oct 2011 08:37 AM PDT In a way, I can sympathize with Atzmon's sentiment. If America had remained 90% White and was not threatened by the massive invasion of strongly identified groups hostile to the traditional people and culture of America, there would be no reason for Whites to develop a strong racial identity. Individualism works well in homogeneous, implicitly White societies, but will break down under the current multi-cultural onslaught. When people perceive themselves to be under threat from cohesive outgroups, psychological mechanisms of social identity kick in and they assume a group identity themselves—even people who are prone to individualism. |
Posted: 08 Oct 2011 08:35 AM PDT New York City's billionaire mayor, Michael Bloomberg, renewed his attack on the three-week-old Wall Street protest Friday, claiming that it is aimed at destroying the jobs of New Yorkers. |
Obama's cyclopean look on Afghan war Posted: 08 Oct 2011 08:04 AM PDT Obama's recent comment on the tenth anniversary of the invasion of Afghanistan, claiming that "our citizens are safer and our nation is more secure" conjures up the image of the allegorical man chained in a cave facing a blank wall and with his back to the fire. |
Bahraini king playing sectarian card Posted: 08 Oct 2011 07:31 AM PDT A political analyst says that the Bahrain's ruling Al Khalifa family and some other governments in the region are playing a sectarian card to cause Shia-Sunni divide in order to destabilize the historic revolutions. |
Occupy Wall Street: Who Wants to Hijack the Movement? Posted: 08 Oct 2011 07:09 AM PDT Media spokesmen for the Occupy Wall Street demonstrations claimed that their operation is totally transparent, with everything subject to democratic discussion in a general assembly of all comers. But eyewitness reports from experienced observers on the ground in lower Manhattan indicate a much different reality behind these bland assurances. Forces appeared to be at work behind the scenes to manipulate the protest movement into a posture of supporting the presidential candidacy of Wall Street puppet Obama. |
Did Rothschild Blackmail UK To Aid Israel in 1956? Posted: 08 Oct 2011 05:55 AM PDT The Illuminati bankers are able to blackmail and control our leaders because many belong to a "homosexual underground." T. Stokes, a former MI-5 employee, is elderly and retired. Here is his rogue's gallery tour of this dissolute and seditious network in the 1950-60's. |
Corporate-financier dominated Western media attempts to Wish-away "Occupy the Fed" Movement Posted: 08 Oct 2011 03:07 AM PDT Even before its scheduled start this weekend, mention of the "Occupy the Fed" movement, which aims to bring attention to the real culprits behind America's economic plight, is spreading, not just across the United States, but overseas as well. The corporate-financier elite which dominates the Western media are attempting in vain to redirect the growing anger of the American people toward the middle class, with President Obama leading the way in a clumsy demagogic campaign of class warfare. Ironically, Obama's own administration is filled top to bottom with Wall Street bankers and Fortune 500 representatives eager to make sure the axe falls anywhere but upon their own necks. This fact regarding Obama's ties to Wall Street and even many of the GOP challengers for 2012 like Herman Cain, a former Federal Reserve chairman, makes such pandering farcical if not entirely offensive to the American people's intelligence. Not only are Americans calling this hubris-filled bluff, but so are foreign pundits overseas. |
Conclusive link now admitted: swine flu vaccine causes chronic nervous system disorders Posted: 08 Oct 2011 12:00 AM PDT Narcolepsy isn't the only side effect now admitted to be caused by swine flu vaccines: 76 of the 79 children also suffered hallucinations and "paralyzing physical collapses," say Finnish researchers. |
Cash carrot or status stick: Palestinians flirt with UNESCO Posted: 07 Oct 2011 11:41 PM PDT Washington is threatening to leave UNESCO without American cash, as the world's education and heritage group moves a step closer to allowing Palestine to join. The US is currently giving tens of millions of dollars to UNESCO, but can't legally fund any UN body that admits a non-UN member state. The culture group has agreed to put the Palestinian bid to its members for approval by the end of the month. It's a key diplomatic victory for the Palestinians at the UN ahead of the vote on its statehood. However, there's still fierce opposition from Washington, which says a legitimate state can only be achieved through direct talks with Israel. Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas applied to the Security Council for full UN membership in September. |
